My education starts with the observation of the world around me. Visual excitement is the prime state of interest. Artistic training began in early childhood when my great aunt came to visit and taught my brother, sister and me to draw. By first grade I was already excited by making drawings. I had a wonderful elementary school art teacher, Mrs. Wolpert, who ran an "Art Club" after school. We made all types of art and decorated the bulletin boards. By high school I was sure that I would be an artist and majored in art . My goal at that time was to design cars and I was accepted in Philadelphia College of Art, now The University of the Arts attaining a BFA. I completed my formal education at the Graduate School of Figurative Art, NYAA attaining an MFA in sculpture.
